We would like to provide you with an update on the COVID-19 situation at Umina Park.
We received late notification that PCR tests for all residents were planned for Sunday 23rd January 2022. We do apologise for the delay informing you of this testing.
The next PCR tests for residents is planned for this Wednesday, 26th January 2022. Once these results are available, OneCare together with the Tasmanian Aged Care Emergency Operations Centre (ACEOC) and the Department of Health will review and assess the current level of risk.
We understand temporary lockdowns can be distressing for both residents and their families. We assure you we are doing everything in our power to make these as temporary as possible and implemented for the sole purpose of maintaining the safety of our OneCare community.
Visitor Restrictions remain in place and are limited to those:
- Providing end of life support for a resident at the facility.
- Providing support to a resident who is suffering from dementia or similar condition and the person is required to assist in reducing distress or confusion in the resident.
We will maintain regular contact with our residents’ families to update you about your loved one’s health.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the team.
