Following on from our previous correspondence, we can now provide some good news about the COVID-19 situation at Bishop Davies Court. With no further positive cases, and everyone feeling well, we are now able to begin relaxing some of the restrictions.

From today, Friday 1 April, the temporary lockdown will be ceased, allowing one visitor, per resident, per day. All visitors must undertake a rapid antigen test on arrival and wear full PPE– this will be provided by OneCare upon entry.

To ensure the ongoing safety of our residents and staff, some restrictions and precautions will remain:

  • All staff and visitors will wear full PPE (Gowns, P2/N95 masks, face shields or goggles).
  • All residents will continue to be monitored for symptoms.
  • The dining room will remain closed throughout the weekend and into next week (Monday 4 April) – meals will be served in resident rooms during this time.

In keeping with relaxed restrictions, residents will now be permitted to move freely about their houses, including the gardens on each level. However, there will continue to be no movement permitted between floors and from the quarantined area.

As always, we will maintain regular contact with our residents’ families and provide any further information as it becomes available.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the team.
