Further to our last update, we now have the PCR test results for Barossa Park Lodge residents.

We now have a total of twenty four (24) residents who have tested positive for COVID-19:

  • 21 in Timsbury House
  • 0 in Houghton House
  • 0 in Clydesdale House
  • 3 in Tolosa House.

I want to assure our residents and their families that we are taking this matter seriously and we are doing everything we possibly can to eliminate further risk.

Consequently, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents and staff, Barossa Park Lodge will remain in a precautionary lockdown until midnight on Thursday (28 April).

Visitors will be restricted to those:

  • providing end of life support for a resident at the facility; and
  • providing support to a resident who is suffering from dementia or similar condition and the person is required by the operator of the facility to assist in reducing distress or confusion in the resident.

No other visitors will be permitted during this time.

Family members are able to deliver care packages for their family member by leaving any items at the front door in a clearly labelled bag.

These precautionary measures will be reviewed daily and be kept in place for the shortest possible period.

We will maintain regular contact with our residents’ families to update them about their loved one’s health and provide further information as it becomes available.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the team.
