We would like to provide an update on the COVID-19 situation at Barossa Park Lodge.

Today a resident in Timsbury House has tested positive for COVID-19. The resident is now isolating as per the direction from the Aged Care Emergency Operations Centre (ACEOC) and Public Health. A full sweep of Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) will occur across Timsbury House as soon as practicable.

In addition, the following precautionary measures will be required for visitors and staff:

  • All staff and visitors will continue to wear the required PPE at all times.
  • Visiting times remain the same at this stage, however, please understand we may need to make some changes to ensure the safety of all residents, visitors and staff from time to time.
  • Upon arrival, all visitors must complete a Rapid Antigen Test. If the RAT is negative, visitors will be directed to wear the appropriate PPE. Please note, to ensure appropriate distancing, the path taken to your destination may be different than you might normally take.

Testing will occur today and again on Monday and Thursday next week as directed by ACEOC and Public Health.

As always, we will keep reviewing the current situation and will provide another update as soon as possible.

We appreciate this update can cause some concern but please be reassured that our team is doing everything possible to reduce the COVID risk and impact within the service.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the team.
