Residents can choose to pay by a refundable deposit (RAD), a daily payment (DAP), or a combination of both.
Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD)
If you want to pay in a lump sum, you can choose this option. The amount is Government Guaranteed, which means it is fully refundable. If you access to the full amount as a one-off payment, you can save on interest costs.
Or you can pay in a combination of both RAD and the daily payment.
Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP)
The DAP is a great option if you don’t have access to a the full amount up front. This amount is calculated based on the cost times the current government interest rate and divided by the number of days in the year.
The base cost is refundable but the interest you pay is not.
