Our Board

Mr Leon Peck


Leon was appointed Chairman of our Board in 2021. He has a professional background in education, health services, human resources and mental health services.

Ms Sue Hickey

Deputy Chair

Sue joined OneCare’s Board in 2016. Sue was elected as Lord Mayor of Hobart in 2014 and is a former Telstra Tasmanian Business Woman of the Year. Sue is currently Deputy Mayor of the Glenorchy City Council and recently held the position of Speaker of the Tasmanian House of Assembly.

Mr Daniel Richards

Daniel has worked at Accru Hobart for over 27 years. He has extensive experience across a broad range of industries and provides advice on tax planning, business structures and financial management. As well as being a Chartered Accountant, Daniel is also a qualified Financial Planner.

Mr Geoff Squib

Geoff has an extensive parliamentary history, serving the Devonport City Council for 22 years, with 14 of those as Mayor. He has been a Justice of the Peace since 1985 and is currently Vice President of the Tasmanian Society of Justices of the Peace. Geoff is currently Chair of the Clinical Governance Committee. Geoff’s exemplary knowledge and skill contributes to OneCare’s growth and sustainability.

Ms Karen Linegar

Karen joined OneCare in 2021 as an Individual member of Clinical Governance Committee and then joined the Board in 2022. Karen holds an appointment as an Adjunct Associate Professor with the University of Tasmania. Karen has led the development of various nursing programs, implemented an interdisciplinary teaching program and has a strong clinical background in both the private and public healthcare systems. She provides leadership in clinical governance and risk in the workplace with a strong focus on education to support competency.

Mr Lou Johnson

Lou has been a member of our Board for 11 years, holding the Deputy Chair and Chair positions at various times during this period. He offers knowledge and skill to our Audit, Finance & Risk Committee and wider organisational strategic direction.
