Dear Residents and Families,
Today (Friday 6 May) we have identified one (1) resident who has tested positive for COVID-19 in West Grove 2.
We have contacted Tasmania’s Aged Care Emergency Operations Centre (ACEOC) as per our normal protocols. However, this is not considered an outbreak.
As a precaution, a deep clean will be undertaken and we will continue to monitor all residents for symptoms. Visiting hours remain unchanged.
We appreciate that some residents have family events to attend on Mother’s Day. Residents are able to leave the facility if they test negative for COVID-19 via a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and must wear a mask when out with family and friends.
As always, we will maintain regular contact with our residents’ families and provide any further information as it becomes available.
