We would like to provide an update on the current COVID-19 situation at The Manor Complex.
Overnight, Rapid Antigen Testing has confirmed a total of 11 residents now have COVID-19.
We want to assure our residents and their families that we are taking this matter seriously and are doing everything we possibly can to eliminate any further risk.
As such the precautionary lockdown will be extended for another 48 hours until 6.00 pm Wednesday, 18 May 2022. This will allow PCR testing to be completed for all residents.
Of course, visitors:
- Providing end of life support for a resident at the facility; or
- Providing support to a resident who is suffering from dementia or similar condition and the person is required by the operator of the facility to assist in reducing distress or confusion in the resident; will be permitted during this time.
We are working with Tasmania’s Aged Care Emergency Operations Centre (ACEOC) to review the possible exposure and associated risk. These precautionary measures will be reviewed daily and be kept in place for the shortest possible period.
We will maintain regular contact with our residents’ families to update them about their loved one’s health and provide further information as it becomes available.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the team.
