We would like to provide an update on the current COVID-19 situation at The Manor Complex.
There are currently a small number of positive cases in Machen Court and Riseley House, and we have therefore enacted our COVID-19 Outbreak Management Plan. Effective immediately, Machen Court and Riseley House have been placed into lockdown.
Although the case numbers are in single digits, we are using an abundance of caution.
We understand temporary restrictions can be distressing for both residents and their families. Therefore, to maintain the overall wellbeing of our residents, we have reviewed our protocols for visitors.
Visitors are permitted, but we ask that this is limited to one person at a time in the affected areas so that social distancing can be maintained. In addition to this, visitors will be required to check in and wear PPE, including an N95 mask and eye protection.
Residents in affected wings are permitted to leave the facility however we recommend limiting outings to essential medical or dental appointments. Residents who do leave the facility must abide by the close contact rules which include returning a negative RAT and wearing a mask if they have no existing conditions that exclude them from wearing a mask.
We remain in regular contact with the Aged Care Emergency Operations Centre. Public Health will perform a PCR sweep in Machen Court on Saturday 23 July.
As always, we will keep reviewing the current situation and will provide another update regularly.
