I would like to provide an update on the COVID-19 situation at Rubicon Grove.
A number of residents have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are currently being isolated in line with our infection control protocols.
As always, all cases are receiving appropriate medical care and other residents are being closely monitored for symptoms.
In order to reduce the risk to other residents and staff, Rubicon Grove has implemented the following measures:
- Visiting hours have been changed to between 10am and 2pm.
- Visitors will be required to wear P2/P95 masks in order to enter the facility.
- Upon arrival, all visitors must complete a COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Test. A team member will be stationed at the entrance to assist as required.
Our priority is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our OneCare residents, as well as the wider community.
We ask for your support by not visiting our facilities if you are unwell or experiencing any cold and flu-like symptoms.
We would also ask that anyone visiting Rubicon Grove ensure they follow staff direction regarding the wearing of personal protective equipment, including masks, and ensure it is working correctly.
Our residents are, unfortunately, vulnerable to serious and severe symptoms from COVID-19, and we treat these cases, as well as limiting further spread of the disease, with the utmost of importance.
While we understand restricted visiting hours can be frustrating for both residents and family members, we would ask that you consider your need to visit to assist us in reducing the risk of further spread of COVID-19 both in our facility and in the community.
The situation is being constantly reviewed and we will provide regular updates.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the team on PH: 6427 5700.
