The United Nations has designated the 15th June as World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD). On this day each year, communities all over the globe take a stand against the abuse of older people.
OneCare is proud to be participating in the COTA Walk Against Elder Abuse on Tuesday 15th June. Held in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie, these short but important walks are followed by a free morning tea provided by council.
If you would also like to participate in your local walk, email lynm@cotatas.org.au or ring 6231 3265 by 10 June. Registrations are essential to ensure the events are COVID-safe and there are refreshments for all.
